See Me Shine Photo Shoot

This past weekend, Jennae Peterson, winner of our See Me Shine contest got all dolled up and sashayed down the streets of Duluth, Georgia, giving out sunburn shots to all who came to close to her Hot Mama status!  Our contest judge, Tameka Allen-Mercado of Tea&HoneyBread blog, is a true Execumama in her own right.  Mother/Wife/Artist/Entrepreneur/Designer/Label co-owner/Blogger…um, yeah…Tameka’s hella FLY, and I’m thankful that she took the time to read through all the wonderful entries for this contest.  Check out some of her art here!

A special thank you to make-up artist Ivy Cooper for knowing how to coax the spirit of beauty out of all of us with her gift.  I loved that Jennae’s make-up looked so subtle, and the splashes of color on her cheeks and eyelids just worked so beautifully well, don’t you think?  Connect with Ivy on Facebook and Twitter for makeup that reminds you just how beautiful you truly are.

You already know I have an unfaltering love affair with the work of Kahran Hill & Reg Bethencourt of CreativeSoul Photography. and this shoot simply reaffirmed my feelings.  If you’ve been contemplating the idea of doing family photos, individual photos, or even just a great set of pictures from a family event, CreativeSoul Photography is who you’ll want to capture the memories.  I’ve worked with them on three projects thus far, and I remain their #1 FAN!!  Once you check out their site, make it a point to stop drooling long enough to contact them for your family photo needs.  Oh, and tell them I sent you, so I can keep my #1 Fan status, okay?

The goal of the contest, as is the goal of Execumama Enterprises, is to remind women that their particular brand of sunshine is relevant, necessary, and worth celebrating.  Jennae is a wonderful example of a woman who defines, designs, and lives her fullest life, and I’m so glad she was willing to share her shine with all of us.

“I’m a lover of all things green, and I making my living as a graphic designer, interior design blogger and freelance writer (I know…I wear a lot of hats) who focuses almost exclusively on sustainability. In other words, I am a woman – a mother – who is keenly aware of the impact my actions have on my environment, …” -Jennae Peterson,
