Raising Creatively Expressive Children with Julia Cameron’s Help

I’ve got three reasons why you, as a reader of a blog that focuses on self-expression, should grab a copy of Julia Cameron and Emma Lively’s spiritual resource, The Artist’s Way for Parents:

Reason 1: Self-Trust
Reason 2: Creative Expansion
Reason 3: Knowledge of Self

I was all set to shoot a video review, complete with tie-ins to the Radical Self-Expression principles enumerated above, and tips for applying what Cameron (and I) believe about parenting and raising emotionally healthy people.

But…roaring laughter, insistent car horns, low-flying planes, flyaway locs, and barking dogs all had other plans–LOL!

Nonetheless, I wanted to read you some of the gems from the book, because it is in fact, that serious. The book was really engaging, and included activities you and your child(ren) can do to further explore your creativity and personal needs.  It’s a delightfully useful read, and I highly recommend it.

Oh, and I planted the tripod at an angle, so you’ll notice that I look like I’m in dire need of a V8 the entire time.

Disclosure: I received a complimentary review copy of Cameron and Lively’s book. The opinions and review are my own opinion and no compensation (monetary or otherwise) was received in exchange for this review.
